The room was clean and spacious, with a hot shower that worked well. Just a bit disappointed that the TV remote was missing and breakfast wasn't included unless you paid extra. The basics were all there, which made it a decent stay overall.

I had a really enjoyable stay, especially the clean, warm room and the pleasant surprise of the fair-priced Indian dinner. Just don’t expect luxury—it’s basic but perfectly fine.

The Norfolk Hotel has a stylish reception area that felt welcoming after a long journey. My room was clean and spacious, which was a pleasant surprise. I appreciated the good shower facilities. it made my stay much more comfortable. The staff were friendly and accommodating, always ready to help. the TV remote was missing, and breakfast isn't included unless you pay extra, which felt a bit disappointing. The hotel could definitely use more seating areas for relaxation as the current ones are uncomfortable. I had a comfortable night but there are some areas that need attention.

great central spot near parks and major attractions
I had a fantastic time here during my weekend getaway, easily strolling to the Birmingham Oratory just over 2 km away and enjoying the beautiful Edgbaston Waterworks, which was less than a 15-minute walk from the hotel. it's perfect for a city explorer seeking parks and landmarks. The hotel also offers comfortable rooms and a welcoming atmosphere that made my stay enjoyable.

The room we had was cozy and had a nice view of the sunset. The pool was just perfect for a late-night dip. Enjoyed chilling out in the hot tub after a long day of exploring and the spa was a lovely treat too. Just a heads up, the parking situation could be a bit tricky, but overall, we really loved our stay! 😊

missingWrote a review on Aug 16fresh sheetsloud atmosphereinefficient check-instained carpets
The chaotic atmosphere was immediately apparent, with loud guests and a strong smell of curry permeating the hallways. The room was far from clean, with stained carpets and walls, though the sheets were thankfully fresh. Check-in took an unusually long time, adding to the overall frustration of the experience. I had to exit the hotel just an hour after checking in to regain some peace and unfortunately found the noise to have escalated upon my return later that night.

missingWrote a review on May 30affordable roomsdecent locationunmaintained facilities
Affordable rooms provide decent value for a budget-conscious traveler. The location on the edge of the city center allows easy access by bus or taxi to nearby attractions.
Many facilities seem in need of a serious overhaul. the hallways and stairs look more like they belong to a staff area than guest accommodation. My single room had dirty walls, stained carpet, and flat pillows that made resting less than comfortable. The bathroom, although clean, felt frigid, while the noise from the corridor made it a challenge to get any peace, especially during the weekend. all advertised breakfast options were unavailable during my stay, leading to a rather disappointing start to the day.

On-site parking, proximity to local attractions, multi-room options available
The rooms could definitely use a fresh coat of paint and a thorough deep clean!!! The common areas really need more attention when it comes to cleanliness too!!!
